Stop Blaming the Victim: How Enablers Keep Toxic Behavior Alive.
What Enablers Actually Do to Keep Toxic Behavior Alive
Enablers of toxic behavior and people who invalidate the victim’s experience are just as guilty as the perpetrator.
Flying monkeys are the people who side with your abuser. Most of them play it safe because of what they stand to gain, and they don’t want to fall out of favor with the toxic person.
Enablers dismiss your experience without hearing your side of the story, yet they believe the toxic person even though they weren’t there. It’s hypocritical. Some of them are being manipulated and brainwashed into playing along.
Enablers are as guilty as the oppressors. If they stopped protecting the wicked one and held them accountable, the abuser might change. But narcissists keep disrupting peace because they know they’re surrounded by people who make excuses for them and cheer them on.
I’ve been in a situation where I was surrounded by enablers of wickedness who knew I was innocent they knew the truth yet they told me to lower my voice, pray, and be understanding. They encouraged behavior they would never tolerate for themselves, and some of the things they supported in broad daylight were unacceptable.
The Double Standard: Why Enablers Judge Victims But Protect Abusers.
Enablers live by a double standard. I wonder why they don’t chastise the person who started the abuse, but have plenty to say about how the victim reacted. They sit back and judge your response.
What do you mean the victim is overreacting and taking it too far?
If there’s no trigger, there’s no reaction. In a tug of war, anything goes. If you spit on someone unprovoked because you can’t control your emotions, they have the right to defend themselves however they want. The victim can walk away and leave it to karma or not.
And this is why some people may bring generational consequences upon their children. Most humans don’t apply the Golden Rule when dealing with others: Do unto people what you would want them to do unto you. Picture yourself in another person’s shoes and act right.
The Karma of Enabling: What You Do Today Comes Back Tomorrow.
The truth is, some of the things you enable today have a way of coming back to haunt you it could be you or your children tomorrow, moving from place to place looking for genuine support. People who can speak for you when you’re voiceless, and none will show you mercy. The universe remembers the role we played in another person’s suffering.
Have you ever dealt with someone who surrounds themselves with gullible people they can deceive, lie to, and keep in the dark while no one asks intelligent questions or connects the dots? I have and believe me is energy sapping.
A gentle reminder: toxic people hate smart people who can spot their inconsistencies. That’s why they gravitate toward those who will enable them people too scared to point out the obvious, or enablers who stay quiet for the sake of “peace.”
While the narcissist lies, paints the actual victim as the villain, destroys their reputation, and blames them, the flying monkeys blindly support them without knowing what actually happened even when the truth is obvious.
An extremely toxic person will never admit the part they played or how they provoked the other person behind closed doors. They only share the version that favors them, casting themselves as the victim and the oppressed as the villain. All the harm they inflicted when no one was watching goes unaccounted for.
Be Careful What You Enable
Don’t be part of ruining someone’s life without cause.
I’ve watched people who didn’t know the truth support wickedness. In my prayers for justice, I included them.
Foot soldiers are worse than the culprit. Because of what you stand to gain, you’ll watch a tyrant destroy someone’s life and peace of mind. Then you’ll go to church and pretend to be a true Christian, yet when you see injustice, you side with the devil.
Wickedness doesn’t thrive when empathetic people are around. People who can call a spade a spade.
Enablers (a.k.a. Flying Monkeys)
Enablers are cowards. They see and know how abusive their friends or family members are but choose to support them blindly to stay in their good graces. They make excuses for the abuser and advise you to accept their awful behavior without complaint “That’s just how he/she is.”
But the moment that same toxic person turns on them, you’ll see them say no to the disrespect. They’ll preach patience and tolerance for something they themselves can’t endure.
Flying monkeys will hate you and get angry because you stood up for yourself but they’ll never caution your abuser, not even once.
How to Stop It: Boundaries or Cut Off the Enablers.
Note this: The toxic person relies on the support of their enablers to continue their harm. If no one backs them, they’ll stage a scene where they look like the victim to gain sympathy running a smear campaign and making you the scapegoat.
The only way to stop a toxic person’s shenanigans is to set your boundaries or cut off enablers and flying monkeys. They’d rather die than admit the person they idolize is wrong.
Have you ever had enablers side with your abuser?

Yes, toxic people hate smart people who see all their wickedness.
ReplyDeleteI have no words for the enablers ... Soon they will be caught in their own web.
